Research Interests: Engineering Design Education: the effects of project types on student learning, engagement and retention; methods to increase student understanding and ability to solve problems that are real, ill-defined and complex, and to work in interdisciplinary teams.
Engineering Design Process and Methods: representation, capture and reuse of knowledge and information in design; the optimal design of product families and platforms; and methods to predict and plan for obsolescence in products and systems. |
