    • (1) CEE: Applicants are considered for admission to the department on the basis of the following:
      1. Competitive GPA determined by the applications to the department
      2. Less than 55 hours earned at VT
      3. Mimimum grade of C- or better in ENGE 1024 and ENGE 1104/1114
      4. Credit for MATH 1205/1206/1114/1224; CHEM 1035/1045, ENGL 1105/1106, and PHYS 2305. (Minimum grade of C- in CHEM 1035/1045, MATH 1205 & 1206 and PHYS 2305 required as prerequisites for some CEE required courses. )
        • Applications from students admitted to Virginia Tech as freshmen are reviewed at the end of each Fall and Spring semester.
        • Applications from students admitted to Virginia Tech as transfer students are reviewed at the end of Summer II session, Fall semester, and Spring semester. Please visit the CEE website for more information.
    • ENGL 1105, 1106, H1204: Students must earn C- or better in H1204 or 1106 if the student has advanced standing. Otherwise, the student must take ENGL 1105.
